DEAD BOYS Remain Dead For Now
April 6, 2006Shortly after guitarist Cheetah ChrometoldBillboard.com that the old-school Cleveland punks the DEAD BOYS planned to record new tracks and play a string of Canadian and European shows, he told the Cleveland Scene that all activity is canceled. He declined to elaborate.
DEAD BOYS are considered one of the finest acts to emerge from the same first punk wave that unearthed the RAMONES, BLONDIE and the TALKING HEADS. After frontman Stiv Bators died in 1990, the DEAD BOYS seemed unlikely to reunite. But a run of shows last year has led to talk of a possible new round of activity.
